Why we are supporting HOME Rescue.
HOME Rescue means so much to us. When we lost our cat Kahlua at 14 years of age, we suffered a huge void in our lives.
When the time was right, we adopted a beautiful grey and white kitten named Megatron from HOME Rescue. Little did we know that several months later, we would also welcome her littermate Poppy into our lives due to unforeseen circumstances. Two beautiful little girls from one amazing animal rescue.
We created this Mother’s Angel paw print ornament with a specific intent — to give back directly to HOME Rescue as a thank you for helping us get through a difficult period in our lives. A portion of every sale of our paw print ornament and digital download package directly benefits HOME Rescue.
HOME Rescue's Mission Statement.
We are a no kill foster based rescue. We never euthanize unless it is recommended by our vet staff and the only possible outcome for any animal in our care. Below is our mission statement.
HOME Rescue is a small 501c3 volunteer-based rescue group that provides loving foster homes for abandoned, abused, neglected, or homeless cats and dogs facing euthanasia. We are located in Arlington, TX and serve the DFW metropolitan area. We work with area veterinarians and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers to create a better world for homeless cats and dogs.
Our mission is to save the lives of abandoned, abused and neglected cats and dogs by providing shelter, care, medical treatment, and foster homes. Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all necessary veterinary care and treatment (including age-appropriate vaccinations), and are placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement into their permanent homes.
HOME Rescue is a dedicated team of caring volunteers (with no paid staff) whose goal is to reduce the population of homeless, neglected or unwanted animals by raising awareness through community education. There are roughly 2.4 million healthy, adoptable cats and dogs (about one every 13 seconds) put down in U.S. shelters each year. Often these animals are the offspring of cherished family pets. Spay/neuter is a proven way to reduce pet overpopulation, ensuring that every pet has a family to love them. We participate in community outreach programs and adoption events that advocate early spay and neuter programs and TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) efforts.
We depend on donations to further our efforts and virtually every dollar taken in goes directly to the care of the animals nurtured by our fosters. Our group remains interested in and committed to the welfare of pets beyond the adoption process.
Working together we can provide loving homes to animals that otherwise would live in hunger and fear. Thank you for your continued support of HOME Rescue!
