People frequently inquire about the origin of our name, wondering how we came up with it. Well, the truth is not as glamorous as one might imagine.

Chris and I sat down together, engaging in a brainstorming session to generate a plethora of potential names. Our goal was to incorporate the ideas of "handcrafted" and "fire" within our name, reflecting the fact that our designs are literally created by burning through wood. (This is why we chose the word "flare" versus "flair".)

We began the process by jotting down sooooo many words that came to mind down on a sheet of paper (if only I could locate that treasured piece of paper now!).

We began to mix and match various words, but nothing quite captured our hearts.

We even tried name generator sites like Business Name Generator to gain inspiration. Nothing.

That initial brainstorming session persisted for hours! Few things are more disheartening than investing so much time into something, only to feel as though you are endlessly chasing your own tail.

It was either later that evening or the following day, as we sat watching TV, that Chris spontaneously exclaimed, "Forged Flare!" In that moment, our eyes met, a smile formed on our faces, and we instantly knew that we had finally discovered our perfect name.
